Confidentiality
Confidentiality is an extremely important issue in regards to students with disabilities records. The university has an obligation to protect the confidentiality of students throughout their college career. All disability documentation is maintained in confidential files in the office of the Coordinator of Student Disability Services, separate from my academic file, and can only be released if the student provides the Coordinator of Student Disability Services with written permission. The Coordinator of Student Disability will sanction FERPA and HIPAA policies regarding the records of students with disabilities.
