Apply to DePauw
To apply online, use the links below to access the necessary forms. If you begin an online application, you may save your work at any point and continue at a later time.
To apply to DePauw, you will need to send:
- An application: either the DePauw Application for Admission or the Common Application
- A secondary school report: either the DePauw Secondary School Report or the Common Application Secondary School Report
- Official test scores from the ACT and/or SAT I.
- A sample of your writing produced in the last year. A paper you’ve written for a class is acceptable, or you may respond to the following question:
- Describe a personal experience or a circumstance that has moved you towards a greater understanding of the value of diversity.
Students wishing to complete a paper application for admission may print the PDF versions of either the Common Application or the DePauw Application for Admission using the links to the right. A $40 application fee is required for processing a paper application for admission. (If a PDF page does not display, you may need to download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader, a free plug-in).

If you plan to apply for financial aid, be sure to complete the financial aid forms by the deadlines to ensure the maximum possible financial assistance. (These forms and deadlines are available at the Financial Aid website.)

Transfer Students
Transfer applicants who have not completed two years of college prior to applying to DePauw must submit all the materials required for regular admission (listed above). Transfer applicants with two years of college studies at another institution are not required to submit a secondary school report, but may do so. In addition, all transfer students must submit an official college transcript, and either the DePauw College Official’s Report or the Common Application’s College Official’s Report.

Deadlines
Transfer applicants who wish to begin in the spring must submit application materials by December 1. Applicants who wish to attend DePauw in the fall must submit application materials by March 1.
