Don Bollinger was a two-sport letterman at DePauw, earning honors each
year in football and basketball. A Rector Scholar, Bollinger was a
standout halfback in football and a forward on the basketball team. During
his four years, the football team recorded a 22-6-3 record, including the
legendary undefeated, untied and unscored upon team of 1933. After earning
a M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce, Bollinger was
employed by the Seymour Woolen Mills until 1951. He then accepted a
position with the John C. Groub Company where he became executive vice
president in 1957 and then chairman of the board and chief executive
officer in 1984. He still serves as chairman of the board. Bollinger
serves as chairman of Fidelity Federal Savings and Loan and previously
held the position of director of American Security Co.,
Development-Leasing Co., and the Indiana Retail Council, Inc.
