Flory finishes 13th at NCAA Championships
Simon Flory finished 13th in the 3000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA Division
III Championships at St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y. He finished in

Tigers compete at North Central Invitational
Three Tigers competed at the North Central Invitational last chance meet.
Graham Wellman was eighth in the 5,000 meters in 14:39.2, while Simon Flory
finished 27th in the 1,500-meter run in 4:05.09. Nick Schull was eighth in
the long jump at 6.33 meters and ninth in the javelin with a throw of 37.92

Flory and Wellman compete for Tigers at North Central
Graham Wellman finished eighth in the 5,000-meter run in 14:37.10 and Simon
Flory placed eighth in the 3000-meter steeplechase in 9:22.88 at the Dr. Keeler

Flory wins steeple; Wellman finishes third in 5000 to lead Tigers at Butler
Twilight
Simon Flory won the steeplechase in 9:10.67 and Graham Wellman was third
in the 5,000-meter run in 14:35.37 to lead the Tigers at the Butler Twilight
meet. Both finishes were NCAA Division III provisional qualifying performances. RESULTS

Tigers finish second at SCAC Championships
The three-time defending Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference champions
finished second with 181.5 points, while Trinity won with 209.5. All-conference
performances included: Chris Heitz (200 meters, 3rd), Obinna Ugokwe (400 meters,
3rd), Keith Marshall (800 meters, 3rd), Graham Wellman (5000 meters, 1st; 1500
meters, 3rd), Simon Flory (3000-meter steeplechase, 1st; 5000 meters, 2nd),
Torrey Teats (5000 meters, 3rd; 10,000 meters; 3rd), Chris Bennett (110-meter
hurdles, 2nd), Nick Schull (shot put, 2nd; 110-meter hurdles; 3rd), Jamarcus
Shephard (long jump, 3rd), J.T. Benton (shot put, 3rd) and the 4 x 100-meter
relay which placed third.

DePauw is second after first day of SCAC Championships
The Tigers are in second place after the first of two days at the Southern
Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships. DePauw has 41.5 points and Trinity
leads with 54. Nick Schull finished second in the shot put, while J.T. Benton
was third. Jamarcus Shephard was third in the long jump and Torrey Teats was

Tigers tie for sixth at Little State
DePauw finished in a tie for sixth at the Little State Championships at
Indiana Wesleyan. Graham Wellman won the 10,000 meters and qualified provisionally
for the NCAA Championships. Other DePauw scorers included Simon Flory (3000-meter
steeplechase, 2nd; 5000 meters, 3rd), Chris Heitz (100 meters, 4th; 200 meters,
5th), Torrey Teats (10,000 meters, 5th), Matt Behrensmeyer (3000-meter steeplechase,
6th), Keith Marshall (800 meters, 7th), and Ryan Fenstermaker (3000-meter steeplechase,
8th). The 4 x 100 relay finished third and the 4 x 400 relay placed seventh. COMPLETE

Tigers place second at DePauw Quad
DePauw finished second with 176 points to Valparaiso's 213 at the DePauw
Quad at Blackstock Stadium. Chris Heitz won the 200 meters, while Simon Flory
took first in the 5,000-meter run and Jamarcus Shephard won the long jump.
The Tigers' 4 x 100-meter relay also finished first in the four-team meet. DePauw

Wellman earns all-America honors; Flory qualifies for 1,500 finals
DePauw sophomore Graham Wellman became just the second male in school history
to earn indoor all-America honors as he finished fifth in the 5,000 meters
in 14:38.00. Simon Flory finished the 1,500 prelims in 3:59.96 and earned of
the 10 spots in Saturday's finals. Follow the 2003 Championships, here

Wellman, Flory set for Division III Championships
DePauw is serving as host for the 2003 Division III Indoor Track and Field
Championships and two of its men are among the field of 200. Junior Simon Flory
is competing in the 1,500-meter run, while sophomore Graham Wellman is running
in the 5,000 meters. Flory is currently seeded ninth in the nation, while Wellman

Wellman qualifies automatically; national pole vault mark established
DePauw's Graham Wellman qualified automatically for next month's NCAA Division
III Championships at DePauw by winning the 5,000-meter run in 14:36.29. Allegheny
pole vaulter Jeremy Scott won with a this year's top collegiate vault and a
Division III all-time record of 18'-7.5". DePauw won the meet with 128
points to runner-up Washington University's 76. DePauw

Tigers finish seventh at DePauw Indoor Invitational
Host DePauw finished with 35 points to place seventh at the DePauw Indoor
Invitational. Monmouth won the meet with 100 points followed by St. Joseph's
with 90 and Indianapolis with 65. Justin Kruse won the 600 meters in 1:27.21,
while Chris Heitz finished second in the 200 meters in 23.30. Obinna Ugokwe
was third in the 400 meters in 51.59, Peter Hogg placed third in the 1500 meters
in 4:10.20 and Jamarcus Shephard was fifth in both the 55 meters (6.70) and
long jump (6.61m). Nick Schull finished sixth in the shot put (13.80m) to round

Wellman qualifies, provisionally, in 5,000 meters
Graham Wellman notched an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 14:48.35
in the 5,000-meter run at the Cannon IV Classic hosted by Butler. Wellman placed
13th in the event.
