October 31, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw dropped to 27-7 on the season following a 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-20) loss to visiting Marian (Ind.) in the final home match of the season. The Knights improved to 27-7 with the win.
Katey Larson led the Tigers with 13 kills, while Ali Smith totaled 20 assists and Madison Hoenig added 14 digs.
The Tigers return to action on Friday, November 6, when they compete in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. Third-seeded DePauw opens quarterfinal play at 4:30 p.m. EST when it faces the Sewanee-Centre winner.
