Broering Earns All-America Honors in High Jump
By finishing tied for eighth in the high jump, junior Beth Broering earned all-America honors at the NCAA Division III Championships at North Central College in Naperville, Ill. Broering finished with a jump of  5'3 3/4" (1.62m). Complete Results 

 

Broering and Daugherty compete in North Central Invitational
Beth Broering placed third in the high jump at 5'2" and Courtney Daugherty was ninth in the 1,500 in 5:04.27 at the North Central College Invitational.

 

Daugherty places 12th in 1,500 at Billy Hayes Invitational
Tiger junior Courtney Daugherty placed 12th in 4:43.5 in the 1,500 meter run at the Billy Hayes Invitational in her hometown of Bloomington.

Tigers claim SCAC title
The DePauw women won the SCAC team championship on Saturday in Memphis, Tenn. The title was first for the Tiger track team since beginning competition in the SCAC last year. Complete results

 

 

Indy Relay Results

DePauw places ninth at Indiana Intercollegiates
The Tigers totaled 41 points and finished ninth amongst 17 teams at the Indiana Intercollegiate Championships at the University of Indianapolis. DePauw's 4 x 400 relay placed third in 4:11.97, while top individual scorers included fourth-place finishes from Beth Broering in the high jump at 5-0, Kiley McQuinn in the long jump at 16-8 and Catherine Smith in the discus at 125-7. Tigers defeat Butler and Indiana Wesleyan at DePauw Triangular
The Tigers defeated both Butler University and Indiana Wesleyan University in the DePauw Triangular at Blackstock Stadium. DePauw finished with 218 points followed by Butler with 174 and Indiana Wesleyan with 144. Complete Results

DePauw Invitational cancelled
The seventh annual DePauw Track and Field Invitational has been cancelled due to weather. The meet will not be rescheduled.

 

Tigers finish fifth at Emory Classic
DePauw finished fifth among 16 teams as Carly Himmelstein finished second in the 10,000 meters in 40:09.48. Beth Broering took third in the high jump at 1.52 meters, while Catherine Smith was third in the hammer (32.80 meters) and fourth in the discus (37.52 meters). Broering also earned a fourth place in the 100 hurdles in 16.64 seconds, while Whitney Tinley was fourth in the 10,000 meters in 41:30.40 and Lindsay Bruick placed fourth in the 3,000 meters in 11:04.65. DePauw places 13th at Emory Division III Invitational
The Tigers finished 13th among 21 schools at the Emory Division III Invitational and were led by Catherine Smith's third-place finish in the discus at 38.18 meters. Beth Broering placed fourth in the high jump at 1.57 meters. Complete Results

Tigers compete at Wabash Relays
The Tigers opened the outdoor season at the Wabash Relays. Whitney Tinley won the 5,000-meter run in 19:24.68, while the Tigers took first in the high jump relay with Jenni Greene and Beth Broering combining to jump 9-10. The women's 4 x 200 relay won in 1:58.40 as did the 4 x 400 in 4:24.02.

 

Daugherty sets 1500 record at Illinois Wesleyan meet
Courtney Daugherty finished third in the 1500 meters in 5:07.66 at the Illinois Wesleyan Last Chance Meet and, in the process, set a DePauw indoor record. Amara Martin won the shot put with a toss of 11.4 meters,  and placed second in the weight throw at 10.31 meters. Catherine Smith was second in the shot at 10.96. Rachael Henry finished third in the 5000 meters in 20:07.62 and Beth Broering went 5-0 in the high jump to place third.

 

Tigers set records at Ohio Northern Invitational
Two Tigers set school indoor records at the Ohio Northern Invitational as Tracey Phillips finished the 500 meters in 1:33.56 and Amara Martin placed third in the shot put at 38'-3/4" DePauw finished ninth among 10 teams at the Ohio Northern Invitational. Here are the complete results.
