An open discussion of how students on DePauws campus feel their race/ethnicity play a role in their day to day living. We will gather a panel of diverse students from black to white to Latina and have them answer a series of questions followed by open discussion with audience participation. This event will be facilitated by a sociology professor who can also provide incite on racial issues and tensions in the world and hopefully leave DePauw students with an understanding of how people on campus feel.
This class is a blend of martial arts, cardio kickboxing, dance, capoeira, hip hop and funk combined with music blended especially for the choreography.
Come stop by and write down what the "American Dream" is to you. From there we will be compiling an article about the various responses that we received and we aim to publish it in our school newspaper.

Students and faculty may bring a lunch to the Fishbowl for discussion of Louis XIV with Prof. Bjornstad and Prof. Whitehead's class on the Age of Louis XIV; after 12:30 pm the discussion will shift to French with Prof. Coulont-Henderson's French Literature class. All the DePauw community is welcome. Prof. Bjornstad also speaks today at 4:15 pm in Peeler Auditorium.
This is a Christmas Party for students from Cloverdale Elementary School and the volunteers from DePauw University. They get together and eat food, give campus tours, ect.

A discussion about controversial topics that many people may be uncomfortable discussing. This will not only open people's minds to new ideas but allow bonds to form amongst students on campus.
In its tenth season, DePauw Jazz at the Duck is a weekly jazz and blues series dedicated to bringing this diverse art-form to the DePauw and Greencastle communities. Performances are Thursday evenings from 9pm to 11pm at the Walden Inn's Fluttering Duck. All events are free and open to the public. Past artists include Grammy winners Chip McNeill and Frank Catalano, local blues legend Tad Robinson, Randy Salman's Condition Blue as well as the DePauw Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Combos.

Conversation Café is a casual and friendly conversation in participants' native languages that creates appreciation, awareness and knowledge of other cultures. This program also promotes the acquisition of a second (or third) language. All DePauw and Greencastle community members are welcome to attend any Conversation Café event.

Travel back to back into the 50s and learn this timeless dance. We will arrange for an hour beginning dance class with Salsa Indy. This class will provide not only a fun workout but a opportunity to learn some cultural history.
