Corporate and Foundation Relations

The office of corporate and foundation relations seeks to further the mission of DePauw University by securing grants from foundations, corporations and government agencies for University priorities.  Institutional funding priorities are established by the president of the University.  Current priorities focus on support which directly benefits students and faculty members, including student scholarships, faculty salaries and academic programming.

The corporate and foundation relations staff identifies, helps secure and administers grants in support of institutional funding priorities.  Staff members welcome ideas and leads from members of the larger DePauw community.

DePauw faculty and staff members contemplating development of an institutional grant proposal for an external funding agency should first gain endorsement of the idea from the supervising vice president and subsequently the University Grants Committee, comprising the vice president for development and alumni relations, the vice president for finance and administration, and the vice president for academic affairs.

Contact Dawna Wilson, director of stewardship and corporate and foundation relations, at 765.658.4213 or dwwilson@depauw.edu for more information, or if you have questions.

Individual faculty research grant proposals are reviewed and approved by the vice president for academic affairs without Grants Committee consultation, provided that commitments of matching funds and continuation efforts can be supported in the normal academic budget without supplemental funding.  Faculty members interested in seeking grant support should contact Valerie O’Hair, University grants coordinator, in the Office of Academic Affairs.
