Sigma Chi Wins Delta Gamma's Anchor Splash

Led by Philanthropy Chair David Hanger '11, Sigma Chi dominated Delta Gamma's Anchor Splash, a week-long event supporting Delta Gamma's philanthropy Service for Sight.

To the right, Sophomore's Alex Kreigeshauser, Stephen Brand, David Joeckel, and TJ Metcalf lead the house in serenading Delta Gamma.

For the 10th year in the row, Sigma Chi's pool relay team was disqualified from Friday's main pool events.

Official point total for Sigma Chi: over 12,000 points. This defeated the closest runner-up by 9000 points.

Derby Days Raises $9,554 To Support Riley's Children Hospital April 14, 2008

This year the annual Derby Days here at Xi Chapter raised one of our largest totals to date: $9,554. This money will go to support Riley's Children Hospital in Indianapolis. This continues to make Derby Days the top Philanthropy on DePauw's campus.

Even during the middle of a pledge class meeting on Friday night, he was delegating work to those capable of the jobs. New Furnishings Oct 26, 2007

Our incredible parent's club has done it again. With the funds raised at the annual auction, we now have a newly furnished board room and formal room.

  • New chairs for the board room
  • New leather couches in the formal room
  • New chairs in the formal room
  • Reading lamps in the formal room

The formal room has quickly become a new spot to study. "This is awesome," said sophomore Tim Nicholson (facebook) about the new furniture.

Brothers from the house drove to Plainfield, IN for a midnight showing of Saw IV. The group annouced their arrival back at Xi Chapter at 2:45 AM by playing the Saw theme song on the house party sound system.

On Thursday, Sigma Chi teamed up with local "Chi's" Alpha Chi Omega and Delta Chi to throw the annual Chi-land Philanthropy Cookout. Hundreds of students came to enjoy some good food, good music, and great people.

Family Weekend Sept 29, 2007

Sigma Chi had a great turnout for family weekend. Families enjoyed a day at the football game, great wheather,dinner, and a great live auction. We raised over $5,800 for the house.
