Color, Binding and Laminating Services
Here is some information to help you plan your color copy or binding requests:
Material Information:
28 lb. white bond or 65# cover/poster stock, in the following sizes:
- 8.5 x 11" (letter)
- 8.5 x 14" (legal)
- 11 x 17" (poster/tabloid)
- transparency material (8.5 x 11" - only size available)
Pricing:
- 8.5 x 11": $.25 each / $.40 for double-sided
- 8.5 x 14": $.50 each / $.75 for double-sided
- 11 x 17": $.50 each / $.75 for double-sided
- transparencies (8.5 x 11"): $.50 each
A SAVIN C6045 is located in Printing Services at the Union Building/Technology Resource Center. This color copier has 1200 dpi resolution and is ideal for: copying color photographs, enlargements, reductions (such as to wallet size), making colored overhead transparencies, reproducing color charts/graphs, or copying small quantities of single/double-sided flyers, posters, or title/cover sheets. When filling out your Printing Request Form, be sure to clearly mark "Color Copies" and the correct paper size.
Binding, Padding, and Drilling Services:
Printing Services offers a wide variety of bindery services. Collating, folding and stapling are just the basics, but with the help of some specialized equipment comb-bound books, saddle-stitched booklets, one-, two-, and three-hole punched sheets, as well as note pads, are also available.
Another piece of equipment, the Duplo Bookletmaker, offers a variety of binding options. Featuring twin 10-bin collating towers, the bookletmaker allows either one large job to be run or two smaller jobs to be run at the same time. The bookletmaker now allows 8.5 x 11" or 5.5 x 8.5" booklets to be collated, folded and saddle-stitched in all one operation.
Loose leaf books can also be bound by using GBC combs. Available in black, the combs are stocked in sizes ranging from .25 to 1.5" in diameter.
