SEVERE WEATHER AWARENESS FOR SUMMER

Please stay aware, prepared and monitor weather reports throughout this time period.  As our regular notification systems (i.e. WGRE, Novell alerts, e-mail, etc....) may not be available or marginally effective during our Summer Break, please keep co-workers, the few students residing on campus, etc... aware of any dangerous weather situations.Our institutional preparedness depends heavily upon everyone staying engaged with monitoring our changing weather and potential for severe storms.  Please review your personal safety plan and communicate with your campus colleagues accordingly during these potentially dangerous periods. We will only issue Warnings via the JYNGLE SMS Text Alert system in the event the National Weather Service issues a Tornado Warning for our area.

Public Safety would like to thank WGRE for their mission to support our endeavors to notify the University of JYNGLE. JYNGLE will allow our agency to issue campus alerts during emergency situations. This new option of emergency notification allows all of campus to subscribe to emergency SMS text and voice messaging on a mobile phone and/or voice announcements to a land line telephone.

Please click on the link below to subscribe to the DePauw University Emergency Notification group. The form is very easy to complete and your information will be kept confidential. Telephone numbers will not be shared. Messages from this "notification group" will only occur during an actual emergency (i.e. significant violence, tornado warning, fire safety emergency, etc...)
