| Focus the Nation: Global Warming Solutions for America |
Are you interested in the issue of global climate change?
Would you like to be part of the conversation about what DePauw can do about it?
On January 31, 2008, our campus will participate in a nation-wide teach-in called Focus the Nation: Global Warming Solutions for America (www.focusthenation.org), which promises to be the new "Earth Day" for this generation. We are looking from people from all sectors of the campus - students, administrators, staff, and faculty - who want to be involved in planning and coordinating DePauw's part in Greencastle activities on this historic day. Since global warming will certainly affect all of us as citizens, anyone who cares about the issue is invited to take part - whatever your background, position, age, or expertise.
An initial information/brainstorming session will be held this month, and biweekly meetings scheduled at a soon-to-be-determined time during the regular workweek thereafter. If you would like to be part of the planning group (pending supervisor approval, schedule availability, and so on) or have any questions, please email Jen Everett. |
