Information for spring semester and Winter Term-only housing is now available on the Residence Life and Housing webpage.

Students who will need to live in University housing should complete the Housing Preference form and return it to our office no later than November 27.

Students interested in the martial arts can learn Hapkido techniques taught by Masters Hal Whalen and Holcombe Thomas, both 7th dans in the Korea Hapkido Federation.

Wear athletic clothing for ease of movement, and bring a desire to learn practical martial arts techniques! Open to the entire DePauw campus.

START Web Development Workshop Series

START Web Development Workshop Series - Multimedia & the Web

Come learn how to make your Web site more interesting through the addition of multimedia elements. In this session, you will learn how to use CSS to control the design of web pages, how to manipulate images and create rollovers using Fireworks, and how to add video and audio clips to your pages.

This workshop is sponsored by START as part of the Web Development Workshop Series and is free and open to all students. Please bring your laptop for a hands-on experience. Some prior Dreamweaver experience is helpful, but not required. Downloading and installing Macromedia Studio 8 prior to the workshop is encouraged.

Entering its fourth season, DePauw Jazz at the Duck offers high-quality jazz performances in the relaxed and comfortable setting of the Walden Inn's Fluttering Duck. Past performers have included Condition Blue, Jazz Mayhem, Grammy-winner Chip McNeill, local blues legend Tad Robinson as well as the DePauw Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Combos.

Guest Artist Recital: Rumidance
A collaboration between modern dancer Robin Becker, actor John McManus and DePauw Professor and cellist Eric Edberg, Rumidance is a performing ensemble inspired by the poems of the great Persian mystic poet Jellaludin Rumi. Formed in the summer of 2005, McManus' active recitations of this remarkable poetry serve as inspiration for Becker's dance and Edberg's music, which seamlessly blend compositional and improvisational elements.

Management Fellows Lateral Entry

We are requesting nominations of students for lateral entry into the Management Fellows Program. Because some students may not be aware of this program, we would like your help in identifying them.

Students you nominate should meet the following criteria:

• They have demonstrated an interest in business, which could include for-profit or not-for-profit.

• They appear able to maintain a 3.20 cumulative and semester GPA.

• They appear able to complete the required courses for Management Fellows:
Intro to Economics
Financial Accounting
Quantitative Analysis
Ethics & Business
Management Readings/Business Writing
Intermediate Microeconomics or Intermediate Macroeconomics
Managerial Accounting or Managerial Finance

• They would profit from a semester long internship. Internships in the Management Fellows Program have included not only traditional business but also not-for-profit corporations such as the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless in D.C., Partners in Housing in Indianapolis, and the Leukemia Society.
