Healthy Living Class Series

Thursdays, 12:45-1:45pm
Classes meet at the Women’s Center unless otherwise noted!

With Alicia Oskay, Registered Dietitian/Yoga Teacher

This week's topic: Why Exercise? The Benefits of Regular Physical Activity
Why is obesity increasing? Is it due to the foods we eat or our decline in activity? It’s mostly because of our decline in activity! Though our calorie intake has increased slightly, our activity has declined drastically! We’ll talk about types of exercise and physical activity that can get us going with plenty of variety and less boredom!

BOTH MEN and WOMEN are welcome! Come to all series or just drop in.

We need your old T-shirts!

The Clothesline Project is a grassroots project that we will be doing on campus the week preceding Monon Bell. Survivors of abuse, neglect, and domestic violence will write their personal messages on these shirts and they will be displayed in Academic Quad all week. To make this project possible we need you to donate your old t-shirts, preferably blank. Please bring your t-shirts to the Hartman House or contact Katie Rappaport and she will pick them up.

Shirts are needed by the end of this week, Friday, October 13.

This project is part of Co-Motion, a Hartman House program.
