| Introduction to Alexander Technique with Jeff Tessler |
What do actors Kevin Kline, Joanne Woodward, James Earl Jones, Ben Kingsley, Keanu Reeves, and Hillary Swank have in common with musicians Paul McCartney, Sting, Julian Bream, Yehudi Menuhin, James Galway, and Sir Colin Davis?
They are all students of the Alexander Technique (AT), a method of body use that helps develop freedom of movement, poise, and balance. While helpful in all daily physical activities, Alexander Technique is widely studied by professionals involved in skilled activities like music, acting, dancing, and sports. Alexander Technique enhances physical abilities, relieves pain, and is also used for rehabilitation and injury management. Jeff Tessler, a certified instructor with over 20 years of experience, will introduce AT in two group sessions today.
Wednesday, September 6
