Can be used for print or Web applications; the files can only be used at same size or smaller. They should never be enlarged since the image will degrade (look jagged/bitmapped). Most of the jpg logo files available here are created only at Web resolution (72 dpi).
Are high-resolution (300+ dpi) files best suited for use with gray scale images and for high-output print production. Just as with jpg files, they will degrade if enlarged. (TIF files are RASTER format.)
Encapsulated postscript files, best suited for use in high-resolution print production and can be resized up or down without losing image quality. (EPS files are VECTOR format.)
NOTICE: Use of unauthorized or distorted variations of any of the DePauw logos presented here or elsewhere is a violation of DePauw University graphic guidelines and, in some cases, a violation of U.S. trademark law.
DePauw logos may be upgraded or revised from time to time. Please refer to this site for the most up-to-date versions to download, then discard any/all earlier versions of logo files.
The DePauw University logo should be used on all University communications with external constituents. There are six variations of the official logo so it can be used effectively with a variety of designs and backgrounds. If you have any questions as to which logo to use, contact the Publications Office prior to downloading a DePauw University logo file.
Because the DePauw logo, the University seal, as well as several other logos are trademarked, please contact the Publications Office prior to using them on anything other than official University publications or giving them to outside vendors.
The Publications Office is responsible for ensuring the correct use of all trademarked University logos, whether created/produced by the Publications Office or by an outside vendor. Strict compliance with federal trademark laws is required to maintain the integrity of the logo and trademark protection. Unauthorized or inappropriate use of any DePauw University logo/mark is strictly prohibited. Any questions regarding the correct use of DePauw logos should be directed to the Publications Office by calling (765) 658-4629.
Notice to outside vendors/merchants: please download the DePauw University Merchandise Graphics Guidelines for more detailed information about logos/marks, official colors, etc.
Secondary logos/marks, such as individual logos for departments or programs, etc., in general, reduce the effectiveness of the University brand, and should be used sparingly. The DePauw logo must also appear on a publication that may contain a secondary logo, however, the two logos must never be used together. The official DePauw logo may not be transformed to contain other words in order to create a new logo. If in doubt, contact the Publications Office for assistance.
