DePauw Jobs and InternshipsThere are always sustainability related jobs and internships provided by professors and campus programs. Here are a few to get you started.
Hartman House
"The Civic Intern Program is focused on developing DePauw student's leadership and volunteer management skills. As Civic Interns, students are assigned a variety of responsibilities and tasks in all aspects of program development, from recruiting and supervising volunteers to fundraising and publicity for events and activities." Interns are selected yearly. For more information, contact the Hartman House Director, Sarah Ryan.
Russel J. Compton Center for Peace and Justice
Each semester, the Compton Center selects 12-14 student interns who wish to develop their interest in social justice and their own personal empowerment. The center itself is called to raise consciousness among members of the university community concerning issues of campus, local, national, and global social justice; to provide opportunities for theological, sociological, and political reflection concerning such issues; and to empower persons to work for social change in an appropriate, effective, and meaningful manner. If interested, contact the Compton Center Coordinator, Valerie Rudolph.
Here are some opportunities for sustainability internships off of the DePauw campus. Don't forget to check on Tiger Tracks for more possibilities! Check, too, with state departments, like IDEM or the Deparment of Health.
