About the same size as a Canada Goose. Dark gray-brown body, white head and neck, pink bill.
Habitat:
Wetlands, lakes.
Voice:
A high-pitched honking.
Name Origin:
The genus name Chen is from the Greek for “goose.” The species name caerulescens is from the Latin for ”bluish.”
In the Nature Park:
Stops briefly at Nature Park during spring migration.
