Golden Ragwort

Leaves:
Basal leaves are oval in shape with toothed edges. Upper leaves are narrower, pinnately lobed.
Flowers:
Yellow flowerheads are up to 1 inch wide. Flowers in mid-spring, in May and June.
Habitat:
Shade-tolerant, grows in forest understory.
More Information:
The genus name Packera is named after John Packer, a Canadian biosystematist. The species name aurea is from the Latin for "golden."
