Leaves:
Leaves are pinnately compound. Leaf edges are coarsely toothed. During early spring, upper surface of leaves has small patches of white, looks like someone spilled water on them.
Flowers:
Flowers are produced in clusters at end of stalks. Petals are usually pale purple. Stamens are conspicuous, extend out from flower. Anthers are brownish. Produces flowers in mid-spring, April and May.
