International Student Affairs (ISA) annually pairs DePauw's international students with Greencastle families through the Hoosier Hospitality Program. Through this cross-cultural exchange opportunity, international students develop a deeper understanding of local life, and families grow in their intercultural awareness.
ISA hosts the initial meeting event between families and students on DePauw’s campus, but then the families will choose whether to invite students into their homes for meals, on day trips to Indianapolis, or for a meeting outside of home at the park or a local restaurant.
Note: Some families have been kind enough to offer their homes to students during school breaks, but this is by no means a requirement of the program. ISA will gauge your commitment level in our Fall application.
