How to Prepare for Arrival - New four-year degree students (F-1)
Congratulations on your admission to DePauw University. International students at DePauw have amazing opportunities and bright futures. Read the important information below about preparing for arrival to the United States and your first year studying at DePauw.
New International students are required to keep up with all posted deadlines shared through the First Year Experience website. In addition students should:
- Apply for the appropriate visa to study in the US and review the Immigration (Visa) Guidance for F-1 and J-1 Students
- Acquaint themselves with the Academic Calendar and the Housing and Residence Life Calendar (and book their travel accordingly)
- Refer to the International Student Orientation website for their mandatory arrival date
- Review the Payment Services website for how to pay tuition from an international location
- Save-the-date for Spring and Summer virtual sessions to learn more about DePauw, prepare for arrival (visas, travel, packing), and connect with upper-level and fellow incoming students
- Refer to the "Arriving to DePauw's Campus" page on how to travel to DePauw (in Greencastle) from elsewhere
Students will find additional information about their experience by navigating the website, where they will find information about finding employment, getting a Social Security Number, and more. Any questions that students aren't able to find online can be directed to intlstudents@depauw.edu
