Biology Research
As a student in the Biology Department you have ample opportunities to get hands-on experiences in research labs or in the field where you develop your research skills and learn more about your favorite research topics. Research opportunities are available year-round during the semesters, the 3-week winter term in January, and a 10-week period of summer research. Semester research credits can count towards your major in Biology, Cellular and Molecular Biology or Environmental Biology. Stipends are available for summer research. You will be able to present your results at national conferences of professional societies and maybe become a co-author on a paper.
