This interactive graphic maps geoscience major (geology, environmental geology, and earth science) to the career path geoscience alumni chose to pursue immediately after graduating from DePauw.
Visualize student outcomes by passing the mouse over the graphic and pausing over 1) the major (left side) to see potential career trajectories or 2) a career pathway (right side) to see what major(s) feed into it.
Data compiled over the period from 1996-2017 (n=156). Ribbons from each major scale to sum 100%. Wider ribbons represent higher percentages (e.g., ~49% of geology majors first attend graduate school) and thinner ribbons represent lower percentages (e.g., ~11% of environmental geoscience majors find their first position in Renewable Energy).
