Farewell Gathering for Fred Soster and Jim Mills

The end of an era...
On July 26, 2020, the Geoscience faculty & families gathered together at Scott Wilkerson's house to bid farewell to Fred Soster (who taught at DePauw from 1983-2020) and Jim Mills (who taught at DePauw from 1993-2020). Both were presented with books that held a collection of notes written to them by former students (see below for the covers...the back cover is in the middle). Fred left Greencastle the following week and now resides in Asheville, NC. Jim still resides in Greencastle, but has purchased a home in Free Soil, MI and plans to move there sometime in Fall 2020.
They both were outstanding faculty members in the Department of Geosciences who taught many, many students who came through our program. They are fantastic colleagues/friends and will be greatly missed.
