Kelly Writers Series

The James and Marilou Kelly Writers Series was established in 1998 with gifts from Marilou Morrell Kelly '55. In the years since, it has consistently brought world-renowned poets, playwrights, and authors of fiction and nonfiction for readings and discussion to DePauw's campus. Previous speakers have included David Sedaris, Sharon Olds, Jennifer Egan, Ross Gay and hundreds more. If you are interested in learning the craft of writing, this series is a priceless opportunity to interact with some of the most renowned and successful writers of our time. The DePauw: Indiana's oldest college newspaper, founded in 1852 under the name Asbury Notes, is a completely independent, not-for-profit organization and is fully staffed by students
A Midwestern Review: This undergraduate literary magazine dedicated to publishing DePauw students’ prose, poetry, and art is produced entirely by students.
English Department Student Association: Regardless of major, this organization invites students to find community around a shared interest in literature and writing.

Eugene S. Pulliam Center for Contemporary Media: Since its establishment in 1991, the PCCM has been a haven for students eager to immerse themselves in the realm of mass media. Roy O. West Library: After a full renovation and a reopening in 2023, this beautiful facility houses a plethora of resources including meeting rooms, archives and special collections, the Tenzer Technology Center and Cafe Roy.
