The Department of Kinesiology at DePauw has approximately 3,500 square feet of laboratory space across three labs, in addition to ancillary and office space. The laboratory is well-equipped, including two Parvo Medics metabolic carts, three treadmills (including two Tuff Tread), Monark leg and arm cycle ergometers, a Bod Pod, a Humac Norm isokinetic machine, Simi motion capture, two AMTI force plates, two Biopac systems (including EMG, stimulators, etc.), Analox blood analyzer and other advanced equipment for study and research.

  • Future Medical Professionals: This student-led organization aims to provide resources to support pre-health individuals and encourage a life dedicated to service.

  • Lilly Physical Education and Recreation Center: Home to the Raymond "Gaumey" Neal Fieldhouse, Charles P. Erdmann Natatorium, Welch Fitness Center, Department of Athletics and Department of Kinesiology, this recently renovated building is the university's primary indoor fitness and recreation facility.
  • Roy O. West Library: After a full renovation and a reopening in 2023, this beautiful facility houses a plethora of resources including meeting rooms, archives and special collections, the Tenzer Technology Center and Cafe Roy.

Kinesiology

Leveraging the resources of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the kinesiology major and minor at DePauw are housed in the Department of Kinesiology. This department provides a breadth and depth of knowledge of human movement in the context of a strong liberal arts education.
