Joe Novak manages the production elements for the presentations and productions at the Green Center for the Performing Arts. Joe's career in theatre has been as a lighting designer, tour manager, production designer, and general problem solver for theatre over three decades.
Joe is a lighting artist, production manager, theatre animal, and a proud team member at the Green Center for the Performing Arts. Recently from New York City where he served as the Director of Production with the Columbia University Graduate Theatre Program, Joe's career in theatre has been as a lighting designer, tour manager, production designer, and general problem solver for theatre over three decades. In addition to theatre specific work, Joe has studied Knowledge Management, maintains aquariums, cooks (some things quite well), and, is a passionate learner. The stories we tell one another are what unite us. When we share what we know and learn, we create a communal understanding, a shared language. Being exposed to new ideas and experiences is vital for our individual growth, and bring us together. This is the role of art- always seeking, forever learning, but most importantly- passing it on.
