The keyboard faculty is recognized for aiding student development, encouraging high standards of performance, and promoting an atmosphere conducive to productive learning. Keyboard professors teach and direct all applied lessons, piano classes, and piano ensembles. The faculty maintains active membership within the Indiana Music Teachers Association, Music Teachers National Association, and Young Audiences of Indiana. Additionally they are acclaimed recitalists, studio artists, clinicians, and judges for state, regional, and national competitions.

Opportunities
There are a variety of opportunities for keyboardists. Students may elect to participate in large ensembles – DePauw University Orchestra, DePauw University Band, DePauw Jazz Ensemble, or DePauw University Chorus – through auditions held at the beginning of each semester. Additionally, a variety of chamber ensembles are offered each semester.
Off-Campus Study
There are opportunities for both international and domestic off-campus study. Locations recently selected include Vienna, Milan, Paris, London, Dresden, New York, Philadelphia, and Florence.
