APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
In addition to your online application – using either the DePauw Application or the Common Application – all transfer applicants must submit:
- Common Applications' College Official's Report;
- official transcripts from all previously attended colleges/universities;
- official final high school transcript; and
- one letter of recommendation from a professor or adviser who can speak to your academic abilities and potential (optional for domestic applicants; required for international applicants)
Test scores are optional for all domestic transfer applicants. DePauw accepts self-reported scores, the student score report, official scores from a testing center or scores reported on your official high school transcript. Test-optional applicants are still considered for merit-based scholarships.
For international transfer students, we require English proficiency if English isn't your first language. You can demonstrate this through TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo tests. Additionally, after submitting your application, please complete the Certification of Finances form in your status portal.
HOW TO SUBMIT APPLICATION MATERIALS
Transcripts and other official documents must be sent directly from the issuing institution. Optional supplemental items can be uploaded through your applicant status portal, available after your application has been submitted.
