Information for the Panhellenic & Interfraternity Formal Recruitment Process and Multicultural Greek Council organization (MGC) or a National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) intake process.
MULTICULTURAL GREEK COUNCIL (MGC) & NATIONAL PAN-HELLENIC COUNCIL (NPHC) INTAKE PROCESS
The membership intake process is conducted by organizations, which are governed by the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and Multicultural Greek Council (MGC). Membership selection for NPHC and MGC groups is an individualized process that is different for each organization. For information on joining a Multicultural Greek Council organization (MGC) or a National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) organization please contact fslife@depauw.edu.
Panhellenic Council Recruitment
Formal Recruitment for Panhellenic takes place the weekend between the end of Winter Term and the start of the Spring Semester. For 2025, Panhellenic Recruitment will begin January 23rd. Below is the timeline of the recruitment schedule:
- Thursday, January 23rd - First Round of Recruitment
- Friday, January 24th - Second Round of Recruitment
- Saturday, January 25th - Preference Round (third round) of Recruitment
- Sunday, January 26th - Bid Day
Panhellenic Recruitment is a mutual selection process, which means that both the potential members and the individual sorority chapters are both making choices throughout the process. There is a small fee for Panhellenic Formal recruitment that will be posted to your University account at the time of recruitment.

Interfraternity Council Recruitment
Formal Recruitment for IFC takes place the weekend between the end of Winter Term and start of the Spring Semester. For 2025, IFC Recruitment will begin January 23rd. Below is the timeline of the recruitment schedule:
