Associate Director of Athletics Communications
Ashleigh Jones joined DePauw University's Athletics Communications staff as the assistant director of athletics communications in August of 2019.
Career Highlights

- Since March of 2020 she has been an advisor for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, as well as the advisor for the Student-Athletes of Color.
- Offers an on campus semester-long internship, introducing students to the athletics communications field.
- Is a member of MOAA and in the fall of 2021 named a MOAA Rising Star
- She is also apart of the inaugural DEI fellowship for CoSIDA
- Worked as the lead operations coordinator and an assistant coach with Pink Elite Basketball from 2014-2019
- While working with Pink Elite Basketball, she helped coach one of the eight AAU basketball teams (fourth grade) to state qualifiers
- Provided expansive marketing insight to the founder of Pink Elite Basketball and in summer of 2019 the basketball program was sponsored by Addidas
- From the fall of 2014 to winter of 2019 Jones worked with ATI Physical Therapy as both a rehabilitation technician and patient service specialist
- Working along with physical therapist, Jones utilized her kinesiology background to instruct and educate patients
- During the 2017-18 academic year, Jones was a sports information graduate assistant at North Central College (Ill.)
- As a graduate assistant, she worked with men's and women's soccer, men's and women's swimming, and softball
- Before becoming a graduate assistant, Jones worked as an NCC athletic event staff member
- Worked the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship
- Worked Illinois High School Association Soccer State Playoffs
- Jones also interned with Campus Special as an account executive and event marketing intern the summer of 2014
Academic and Extracurricular Highlights

- Earned a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology and a minor in communication at Miami University of Ohio
- Partnered with minority first-year students at Miami University as a Connections Coach (peer mentor)
- Coordinated fundraising and events for Miami Acoustics for Charity as its president, an organization focused on raising funds for the Cincinnati Children's Hospital
- From 2011-2014 acted as the communications chair for the Delta Epsilon chapter of Tau Beta Sigma Service sorority
- From 2013-2014 served as the valentunes chair for the Tau Beta Sigma Service sorority annual fundraising variety show
- Earned a Masters of Leadership in sports leadership at North Central College
- Named an NCAA Emerging Leader Honoree in 2018
- Earned a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology and a minor in communication at Miami University of Ohio
