Matt Meier is an Associate Professor of Communication and Theatre and the Director of the Speaking and Listening Center. He holds a Ph.D. in Media and Communication from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, OH. His research interrogates the intersection/s of rhetoric, comedy, and democracy and can be found in journals such as Communication and Critical/Cultural Studies, the Western Journal of Communication, Journal of Communication Pedagogy, and various edited collections. He is also an editor of the volume, Standing Up, Speaking Out: Stand Up Comedy and the Rhetoric of Social Change.
