- Dr. Dionne Jackson brings over 25 years of distinguished expertise in education to her role as Vice President for Institutional Equity and Title IX Coordinator at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. Within the President’s cabinet, she offers strategic leadership fostering compliance, inclusivity, and engagement across the university. Driven by a commitment to equity, she spearheads campus-wide initiatives aimed at bridging access and opportunity.
- At DePauw University, Dr. Jackson co-authored and co-leads the university’s $32 million Lilly Endowment, Inc. grant, Growing Green and Gold Together, an economic and community development initiative. She also leads a dynamic team that represents key areas including the Justin and Darrianne Christian Center for Diversity and Inclusion, the Women’s Center, the Gateway to Gold pre-college program, and the university’s compliance and legal efforts. She additionally serves as a part-time Associate Professor of Education Studies.
- Her leadership extends beyond academia, having served as the inaugural Chief Equity Officer for the Mayor’s Office in Little Rock, Arkansas, and as Executive Director of AR Kids Read, a nonprofit addressing literacy disparities. Dr. Jackson's roots in education began as a public-school science teacher in her hometown of Little Rock, Arkansas, before transitioning to roles at Hendrix College, where she ultimately served as Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion and Associate Professor of Education.
- Dr. Jackson holds a Doctor of Education degree from Baylor University, complemented by a Master of Science in Education from the University of Central Arkansas and a Bachelor of Arts from Hendrix College. She co-founded the Arkansas Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Network and actively contributes to various boards, including serving as co-chair of the American Council on Education (ACE) Women’s Network of Indiana and as a board member of the Oscar Washington Jr. Educational Fund. Additionally, she serves as a trustee at Ottawa University across its campuses in Ottawa, Kansas, Surprise, Arizona, and online.
