Workday at DePauw
In October, 2023, DePauw launched a 3.5 year implementation of Workday, which will encompass DePauw’s financial, human resources, and student information systems.
The Vision:
The Flourishing University pillar of the Bold and Gold Strategic Plan sets a vision of DePauw as one with operational excellence and fiscal stewardship.
Implementing an integrated technology approach that supports best practices that work in higher education will allow us to spend more time on mission-critical work, less time on manual processes, and will empower DePauw to make data-driven decisions. Including the student information system into this implementation will provide a seamless and tech-forward way for students to interact with the university.
DePauw's Workday Project is guided across three key areas:
- Student Experience. Provide forward-thinking, modern portals that improve the student experience and scaffold student success through fluid transactional functionality and analytics.
- Efficiencies / Processes. Improve business processing through digital innovation to generate efficiencies in workflow across all campus operations, operate using best practices, and preserve staff and faculty time for focus on innovative, value-added, and/or student-facing activities.
- Business Intelligence and Academic Planning. Create reliable data platforms for consolidated information management and metrics that support data-informed decision-making for core business functions and academic planning.
