Workday Implementation: Change Liaisons and Survey Due Date
April 30, 2024
The Workday Liaisons Team
The newly-launched Workday Liaison Team will work alongside the Workday Project Team, and serve as an important resource for our campus community. They will play a pivotal role in disseminating information, supporting their colleagues as we adopt higher education best practices, and providing valuable insights, feedback, and experiences to the Project Team.
You can find the roster of Workday Liaisons and your area’s represented stakeholder at Workday Liaisons (requires Google login).
Reminder: Complete the Training Preferences survey
In preparation for the Workday go-live in October 2024 (which includes the business, finance, and human resources functions), workshops and instructional materials will be provided for staff and faculty members during August, September, and October.
To help the Workday Project Team prepare for those sessions, please complete this brief survey and share feedback about how you prefer to learn new systems and work processes.
Project Team Highlight - Jeff Miller
April 25, 2024
Jeff Miller is a core team member of the Workday project. As the Director of Administrative Information Systems in Information Services, Jeff has been instrumental in implementing, testing, and dialogue surrounding the system integrations between Workday and other vital applications used by campus constituents. Here is a little about Jeff:
I have been with DePauw for 16 years. You might find me on the disc golf course when I'm not tackling exciting projects on campus. While it doesn’t involve birdies or bogeys, I’m excited about transitioning to a modernized platform with the Workday implementation. This change will better support our campus’s evolving needs.
While I’d much rather be playing disc golf, moving from eServices to Workday and embracing a modern platform is a close second.

Workday Taking Shape: Customer Confirmation Sessions Completed
April 2, 2024
During spring break, the Workday Project Team embarked on a collaborative journey with the Customer Confirmation Sessions (CCS) for Workday. Teaming up with Workday consultants, we combined efforts with our Human Resources and Finance and Administration teams.
The CCS is an immersive experience into the inner workings of Workday. It offered us a detailed walkthrough of our coming new business processes led by the subject matter experts from DePauw, providing a platform for the broader Workday team to envision improvements, familiarize themselves with the user interface, and make decisions that will aid the final configuration of Workday.
Why is the CSS a big deal? CCS helped us uncover untapped gems — functionalities that might have flown under the radar but will be total game-changers for our workflows. It's all about empowering DePauw, including the daily users, the subject matter experts, and everyone, by using best practices that work in higher education.
Kudos to the presenters…
