Newspaper Says DePauw Senior Has 'Name to Remember'
July 30, 2002
July 30, 2002, Greencastle, Ind. - "Always do your best and never take anything lightly. Any place you go and everyone you meet will be an important experience in your life," is Guillermo Amezcua's advice to students, included in a lengthy profile of the DePauw University senior published by the Times of Northwest Indiana. Among other things, the paper notes that Amezcua "was selected to participate in this year's Summer Venture in Management Program at Harvard Business School in Boston. This program is for rising seniors who have displayed the type of leadership and potential HBS looks for and to experience the school firsthand. Amezcua had to complete three case studies each night and prepare quantitative analysis on each, attempting to find the best solution for a company seeking direction. He was selected class president and will represent the group on the alumni association board."
A Holton Scholar and Management Fellow at DePauw, the article, entitled "Name to Remember," lists Amezcua's many activities and accomplishments, as well as his personal heroes (his parents) and favorite book (Herman Hesse's Siddharta).
