Texas' Junior Miss in DePauw's Class of 2007

April 22, 2003, Greencastle, Ind. - Isabel Campos, Texas' Junior Miss for 2003, will enroll at DePauw University next fall. Campos, a senior at McAllen High School, made the decision to attend DePauw during admitted student open house earlier this month and plans to study mathematics and education. The president of her school's National Honor Society, treasurer of her senior class and feature twirler for the marching band, Campos volunteers many hours each month in her community. On Saturday, June 28, from 9 to 11 p.m., Isabel Campos and the 49 other 2003 America's Junior Miss national finalists will appear live on PAX TV to vie for a share of more than $175,000 in cash scholarships. The America's Junior Miss program was founded in 1957 and is the oldest and largest scholarship program for high school senior girls. More than $1.8 million in cash scholarships and $32 million in college-granted scholarships are available each year.

Since its inception, the program has awarded scholarships totaling more than $83.6 million to young women from across the nation. Past participants include ABC News' Diane Sawyer, Kathie Lee Gifford and Debra Messing of NBC's Will & Grace.
