Brett Schetzsle '99 in Third Season Broadcasting Purdue Football

August 11, 2003, Greencastle, Ind. - When the 2003 college football season kicks off in a few weeks, Brett Schetzsle will again be describing some of the action. A news release from Purdue University notes that Schetzsle "is in his third season as sideline reporter and his fifth season overall with the Boilermaker Sports Network ... A 1999 graduate of DePauw, Schetzsle's other experience includes two years of minor league baseball play-by-play with the Class A Jamestown (NY) Jammers (1999) and the Class AA Wichita Wranglers (2000)."

The article also points out that Schetzsle "is a member of the American Sportscasters Association and in 1998 was awarded second place by the Indiana Associated Press for his football play-by-play work while a student at DePauw. Schetzsle presently is enrolled in the graduate program at Purdue's Krannert School of Management." Brett Schetzsle was a Media Fellow and also played football at DePauw, as the photo at top suggests.
