DePauw Falls at Trinity University 26-24

September 27, 2003, San Antonio, Tex. - DePauw University scored a touchdown with 36 seconds left to get within two points of Trinity University, but the Texas hosts emerged victorious tonight in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference battle, 26-24. Trinity, which entered the game ranked 18th and 22nd in two different Division III polls, improves to 3-1 on the season while DePauw falls to 2-2. (photo by Marilyn E. Culler)

"(The players) know and respect DePauw," Trinity University head football coach Steve Mohr told the San Antonio Express-News in a story that previewed today's game. "They're a tremendous football team and we're going to have our hands full. What we have to do is prepare as well physically for them, but more importantly, mentally, for them and get back on track." Last weekend, Trinity, a perennial power in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, lost to Pomona-Pitzer 35-31, ending a 19-game regular-season winning streak.
