Wabash Prevails in ESPN2-Televised Bell Battle, 28-24

November 12, 1994, Crawfordsville, Ind. - A national television audience enjoyed a Monon Bell thriller today, as DePauw University battled back from a 28-6 halftime deficit but fell short to their rivals from Wabash College, 28-24. The contest was carried nationally by ESPN2. The outcome gives the host Little Giants the prized Bell for a fourth straight year.
Wabash takes a two game lead in the all-time series, 47-45-9.
Both teams returned their opening kickoffs for touchdowns, with Wabash's George Lino scampering 94 yards for paydirt. Moments later, Jon Holloway answered for the Tigers with a 95 yard kickoff return. Wabash dominated the rest of the first half, with DePauw launching a valiant comeback after the break.
