Tiger Playoff Hopes Dashed in 28-8 Monon Bell Loss

November 9, 1985

November 9, 1985, Greencastle, Ind. - A pesky Wabash College team denied DePauw University what would have been the school's first-ever  trip to the post-season football playoffs, defeating the Tigers 28-8 at a packed Blackstock Stadium.

Little Giants kicker Joe Bevelhimer connected on five field goals and Wabash running back Bill Kaiser carried the ball 58 times for 211 yards.

A strong wind whipped across the field throughout the afternoon, crippling the Tigers' passing attack.

DePauw winds up with an 8-2 record on the season; Wabash finishes at 7-2-1.
