9th Ranked Trinity Edges DePauw 29-28

September 25, 2004, Greencastle, Ind. - A heartbreaker at Blackstock Stadium this afternoon as 11-time defending Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference champion Trinity University completed a 9-yard touchdown pass on 4th and goal with 10.6 seconds remaining in the game, defeating DePauw University 29-28. DePauw, which trailed 16-14 at the half, took a 26-14 lead into late in the fourth quarter. Trinity came into the Family Weekend game ranked ninth in the nation in the latest coaches' poll, 12th by D3football.com and 21st by Football Gazette.

Trinity is now 4-0, 1-0 in the SCAC; DePauw falls to 2-2, and 1-1 in the conference.
