DePauw Defeats University of Chicago 28-24

October 2, 2004, Chicago, Ill.. - DePauw University improved its record to 3-2 this afternoon with a 28-24 victory over the host University of Chicago in a non-conference game. DePauw led 21-6 at the half and increased it to 28-12 before the Maroons clawed back late. Chicago drops to 1-3 on the season.
"Facing a different defensive scheme is becoming a regular thing for the DePauw University football team. Saturday's road game against the University of Chicago Maroons will not be different," wrote Jason Moon in Greencastle's Banner-Graphic in a preview of today's game. DePauw coach Bill Lynch tells the newspaper, "This will be the fifth different defense we've faced this year. We've been challenged by that."
