Two Geosciences Students to Present Research at National Conference

November 2, 2004, Greencastle, Ind. - Two DePauw University junior geosciences students -- Audrey E. Gehlhausen (at left) and Sara M. Smaltz (seen below) -- will present their research at the 116th annual meeting of the Geological Society of America, November 7-10 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. Approximately 6200 geoscientists are expected to attend the event.
Audrey Gehlhausen will present "The Chengde Allochthon,Northeastern Hebei Province, China: One Fault or Two?," a project she worked on with Tim Cope, assistant professor of geosciences.
Sara Smaltz's project, "Pseudo-Three-Dimensional Modeling of Detachment Folds," was done with M. Scott Wilkerson, associate professor of geosciences and chair of the department.
