Tigers earn spot in NCAA Championship

Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw, ranked 25th in Division III, has earned a spot in the 27-team NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championship and opens first-round play on Saturday, May 1.
The Tigers (11-12) face Washington, Mo. (12-9) at 2 p.m. EDT at Kalamazoo College. Kenyon (15-3) and Kalamazoo (16-8) square off at 10:30 a.m. EDT on Saturday in the first match of the four-team Central Region bracket. The winners meet on Sunday at Noon EDT for the right to advance to the national quarterfinals.
DePauw lost to Washington by a 4-3 score on April 17 at the Blackstock Courts. The Tigers are making their fifth consecutive trip to the NCAA Division III Championship and 10th overall. DePauw lost to Washington by a 6-1 score in last year's first round.
