Head Basketball Coach Brad Nadborne '81 in His First Season at Manchester College
December 25, 2004
December 25, 2004, Greencastle, Ind. - Brad Nadborne, head basketball coach at Manchester College and a 1981 graduate of DePauw University, "played a season under coach Mike Krzyzewski at West Point before transferring to DePauw at Greencastle for his final three seasons," notes a profile published in Indiana's Wabash Plain Dealer. "After a stint of lawyering in Chicago, and a partnership in the field still, Nadborne hung up the the suit for sweats and a whistle," continues the story on Nadborne, who returned to DePauw as an assistant men's basketball coach for three campaigns, previously served as an assistant coach at the University of Colorado and Cornell University, and spent the 2002-03 season as interim head coach at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
"Anyone that's coached knows it's something you can't get away from," Nadborne tells the newspaper. "There was a period where I went back to school and got my license, but it just wasn't for me. I feel I was born to coach." At this writing, Manchester is 4-4 on the season.
