Attorney Scott Henderson '81 Among Phoenix's "Best of the Bar"

Henderson, a partner in the law firm of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey LLP and 1981 graduate of DePauw University, is among those named "Best of the Bar" by the Business Journal of Phoenix, Arizona. The list is, as the editor's write, "a peer recognition honor, where attorneys vote for other lawyers who they think provide the highest-caliber service in the Valley's legal community."

Henderson tells the publication, which mentions his DePauw degree, "I attended law school and began practicing with the intention of utilizing my legal education and experience in the business world. With the good fortune of great clients and great law firms, I found that I could meet that intention on a broad scale through the practice of law."

An active supporter of his community, Scott Henderson is a member of The Thunderbirds, a civic organization that, among other things, sponsors the Phoenix Open and annually contributes millions of dollars to local charities. He was the tournament chairman for the 2002 Phoenix Open (read more here), and currently serves on the board of directors for Homeward Bound. He is also a former member of the Fiesta Bowl Committee and the Men’s Arts Council.
