All-Conference Performances of Baseball and Softball Players Cited in Newspaper

June 9, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - "DePauw University senior pitcher Mark Alson (Rensselaer) was named All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. He was 7-3 with a 4.16 ERA. Alson [seen in photo] struck out 50 and walked only 17," notes today's edition of the Times of Northwest Indiana. The same column adds, "DePauw's Lauren Curosh (Whiting) was named to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference's first team. The sophomore outfielder/pitcher batted .340 with 16 RBIs and was 9-for-9 in stolen base attempts. On the mound, she was 12-10 with a 2.65 ERA. She had 62 strikeouts and 27 walks."
