Rev. Valerie Knox Mireb '83 New Pastor at United Methodist Church in Texas

June 17, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - "Grace United Methodist Church welcomes new pastor, Rev. Valerie [Knox] Mireb who will be preaching at the 8:30 and 11 a.m. services this Sunday. Her topic will be 'Our Family and the Faith,'" reports the Herald Democrat of Sherman, Texas. "Rev. Mireb received a bachelor of music degree from DePauw University in Indiana, a master of divinity from Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University," the newspaper notes of the 1983 DePauw graduate.
"Rev. Mireb has served churches in the North Texas Conference for twenty years, serving mostly at Trinity United Methodist Church in Denison," the text adds. "While at TCU she served as adjunct professor of the seminar choir. She worked for the American church in Paris, France, led volunteers in Mission Groups to the West Bank and Israel and served as a delegate to the World Methodist Conference in Brighton, England. She has been instrumental in putting together partner churches in the North Texas Conference of the Methodist Church."
